She regularly reviews for some of the most important international journals such as those of the "Endocrine Society" (Endocrinology, Molecular Endocrinology, Journal Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, J of Endocrinology), journals of Physiology and Biochemistry (Journal of Physiology , Biochem Biophys Acta, FEBS Letters). She has carried out and carries out reviewer activities for PRIN, FIRB and VQR projects.

She has been part of Commissions for the final PhD examination in Biological Processes and Biomolecules (Second University of Naples) and in Applied Biology (University of Naples Federico II). She has been part of selection boards for comparative evaluation at university research posts (University of Bari, University of Bologna, University of Naples Federico II). She has been supervisor of about 100 Degree theses.
RESEARCH ACTIVITY
The scientific skills of Professor Moreno mainly concern the effect of thyroid hormones on energy metabolism and their mechanism of action. Author of numerous scientific publications in international journals. Associate editor of Frontiers in Thyroid Endocrinology, Frontiers in Physiology and Immunology, Endocrine & Metabolic Agents in Medicinal Chemistry.
Professor Moreno is a member of the Italian Society of Physiology and of the European Thyroid Association (ETA).
