Musical performance by Eugenio Bennato for AppBenessere
Musical performance by Eugenio Bennato for AppBenessere
The “AppBenessere: A Networked and Systemic Approach to Promoting the Psychophysical Well-Being of the Student Population” project reaches its first milestone.
Events, workshops, labs, and spaces for dialogue have been the constant throughout an intense year, marked by a packed calendar aimed at promoting psychophysical well-being, addressing psychological distress and pathological addictions among university students. This was achieved through motor-sports, artistic and expressive activities designed to foster values of inclusion and participation, and most importantly, to develop the ability to build relationships with oneself and with others.
The final stage of the project is set for October 10, 2025, in Piazza Municipio, with the initiative “Well-Being as a Common Good,” concluding with a concert by Eugenio Bennato. Before the music, there will be a presentation and analysis of the results of this project, which was funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and is part of the broader PROBEN framework. The project is led by Federico II University in partnership with all the universities of Campania:
- University of Sannio
- University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli"
- University of Naples L’Orientale
- University of Naples Parthenope
- University of Salerno
- Suor Orsola Benincasa University
- Scuola Superiore Meridionale
- and two Naples-based AFAM institutions: San Pietro a Majella Conservatory and the Academy of Fine Arts.
The event begins at 5:30 PM at Municipio Metro Station (Port-side entrance). It will open with a video story highlighting the activities carried out over the past months, followed by a presentation titled “The University as a Caring Community: A Model for Student Well-Being”, curated by Emanuela Ambrosino, journalist from Sky TG24.
The spotlight will then turn to the students, the true protagonists of AppBenessere, who will engage in a series of roundtable discussions:
The first roundtable, moderated by Damiano Schiavone from the National Council of University Students, will focus on “Recognizing the Signs – Identifying Distress in Oneself and Others.”
Speakers:
- Ludovica Di Motta, Suor Orsola Benincasa University
- Osvaldo Fava, Scuola Superiore Meridionale
- Alessio Lustro, University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli"
The second roundtable will explore “Creating Listening Spaces – Building Trust, Overcoming Stigma,” moderated by Pierfrancesco Gargiulo, National Council of University Students.
Speakers:
- Giovanna Coletta, University of Sannio
- Emanuela Cristofaro, University of Naples L’Orientale
- Emanuele Fiadone, Naples Academy of Fine Arts
The third discussion will center on “Acting for Well-Being – From Awareness to Concrete Action,” moderated by Tommaso Fusco from the Regional Coordination Committee of Campania Universities.
Speakers:
- Sofia Boscaino, University of Salerno
- Vincenza Di Nardo, San Pietro a Majella Conservatory
- Serena Zizza, University of Naples Parthenope
Afterward, a plenary session titled “From Dialogue to Key Messages” will be coordinated by Antonino Esposito from the National Council of University Students, with contributions from Damiano Schiavone, Pierfrancesco Gargiulo, and Tommaso Fusco.
Next, the event features a performance by Rallenta-Menti, a quartet from the Duae Siciliae Sax Ensemble, San Pietro a Majella Conservatory:
- Adriana Silluzio, soprano sax
- Laura Sorrentino, alto sax
- Daniele Peligra, tenor sax
- Giuseppe Gibilisco, baritone sax
Before moving to the main square, there will be a poster session, showcasing contributions from project partners, and offering opportunities for idea exchange and informal networking.
The event will close with a musical performance by Eugenio Bennato, whose songs will give voice to the deeper meaning of “Well-Being.”
