UNISANNIO Disability & SLD service

The University of Sannio has established the Reception Service for Students with Disabilities and SLD (Specific Learning Disorders) to guarantee equal opportunities in accessing studies and in full participation in university life.

The Service promotes inclusion and equal opportunities within the academic community, committing itself to identifying and overcoming any physical, digital, organisational, or educational barriers that may hinder active participation in training activities and University life.

The University provides tools, personalised services and dedicated initiatives to all students who face their university career in conditions requiring specific support, with the aim of guaranteeing an inclusive, welcoming environment attentive to individual needs.

To request the activation of dedicated services, the student must upload, in the reserved area of the Esse3 application, the certification attesting to the condition of disability or SLD, including the relevant diagnosis. The uploading of the documentation enables the University to obtain the information necessary to assess the situation and prepare any compensatory and support measures.

It is specified that the mere uploading of documentation to the Esse3 platform does not constitute formal activation of the procedure, nor does it automatically involve the provision and use of services.

To make the best use of the opportunities offered, it is strongly recommended to request an introductory and informative interview with the Student Rights Office. During the meeting, the clinical-health documentation uploaded to Esse3 is examined, any specific needs are identified, and the most appropriate support measures and compensatory tools are determined.

The documentation and the indications emerging from the interview are subsequently transmitted to the Educational Administrative Support (SAD) of the competent Department for assessment and the potential activation of measures by the Departmental Bodies.
