Master in Governance and Management of Water Systems

Water is an increasingly precious and strategic resource, at the heart of today’s environmental, technological and social challenges.
To train professionals capable of tackling the complex issues surrounding water resource management in an informed and innovative way, the University of Sannio has launched two new advanced training programmes: the First-Level Master’s and the Second-Level Master’s in “Governance and Management of Water Systems”.
The courses, organised by the Department of Engineering, offer an interdisciplinary pathway combining technical, legal and management skills, with the aim of preparing professionals able to work in both the public and private sectors connected with integrated water services, environmental protection and sustainability.
“In a context marked by climate change, evolving regulations and growing awareness of sustainable resource use,” explains Professor Nicola Fontana, coordinator of the Master’s programmes, “our educational offer addresses the need to develop qualified expertise for the efficient management of water systems. We aim to provide practical tools for governing an essential resource, with an eye to the future and innovation.”
The Master’s programmes are open to graduates in technical-scientific, economic and legal disciplines. Teaching will be delivered in a blended format, mainly online with some in-person activities, to facilitate participation for those already in employment.
Enrolments are now open, with a limited number of places available. Fee reductions are offered for public sector employees and UNISANNIO students, while full exemptions apply for people with disabilities exceeding 66%. Classes will begin on 28 November.
