New Residences and Green Spaces for the Student Community

This morning, an inspection of the university residences took place, attended by UNISANNIO representatives: Rector Gerardo Canfora, Director General Gianluca Basile, and Manager Simone Fontana, and by Adisurc Campania representatives: President Emilio Di Marzio and Director Paolo Vicini.

The 52 beds at Via San Pasquale have been fully renovated and equipped with a furnished green area in the heart of the historic center, while the 12 beds at Palazzo Zoppoli, completed in July, have already been delivered to Adisurc. The 56 beds at Palazzo San Vittorino will be completed by December, bringing the total availability to 120 beds. By 2026, an additional 45 beds are planned at the railway station thanks to an agreement with RFI.

“With the start of the new semester, all the fully renovated residences will provide modern and adequate spaces for students,” said Rector Gerardo Canfora. “This represents a milestone, but not the last: by 2026, an additional 45 beds will be available at the railway station thanks to the RFI agreement. All these initiatives are part of our vision of Benevento as a university city, capable of offering high-quality infrastructure and services.”

“We are pleased, as the agency for the right to education, to have contributed to improving service quality and increasing the number of available beds,” said Emilio Di Marzio, President of Adisurc Campania. “This work was carried out side by side with the University of Sannio, demonstrating our shared commitment to support the right to education and ensure students have a complete and inclusive university experience.”

Tomorrow, October 28, at 10 a.m., at the via delle Puglie educational complex, the spaces for university associations will be officially delivered and the new outdoor area of the Central Library inaugurated. The space has been designed as an outdoor reading area surrounded by greenery, providing students with a place for study, social interaction, and well-being.
