Description
The BSc in Biological Sciences is a three-year undergraduate degree (L-13). Admission requires participation in a compulsory entry test, which is not selective.
To graduate, students must complete 180 ECTS credits through lectures, laboratory work with a strong experimental focus, practical exercises, and microscopic and macroscopic observations. The course provides a solid grounding in the biological sciences, preparing students for further specialisation in different areas of Biology.
Graduates may continue their studies in Master’s programmes in Biology (LM-6) or Medical, Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (LM-9). Practical training is central to the course and includes lab activities, classroom exercises, and external internships in companies, public bodies, or research centres, including opportunities abroad.
The degree also offers direct access to the job market. Career paths include the bio-health, industrial, veterinary, food and biotechnology sectors, in both public and private organisations, with roles focused on the analysis, monitoring and management of biological processes.
