Workshop – PRIN 2022
The University of Sannio is hosting a workshop on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 9:30 AM, at Palazzo San Domenico, Benevento. The event will focus on the PRIN 2022 project, titled "Models and Methods of Optimisation for the Allocation of Resources Destined by the PNRR for Hydrogen Experimentation in Road and Rail Transport", which aims to advance sustainable mobility through innovative technologies and research projects.
The workshop will begin with institutional greetings from the Rector of the University of Sannio, Professor Gerardo Canfora, the Director of the Department of Engineering, Professor Nicola Fontana, and the Councillor for Traffic and Parking, Dr Attilio Cappa. This will be followed by a discussion on the University of Sannio's actions towards sustainable mobility, with input from student associations, coordinated by Professor Mariano Gallo.
The morning session will feature a series of presentations, starting with a detailed overview of the PRIN 2022 project by Professor Luca D’Acierno from the University of Naples "Federico II", and a talk on the barriers to the development and diffusion of hydrogen-powered vehicles, presented by Professor Mariano Gallo. The event will also cover the use of hydrogen for rail transport on non-electrified lines, a topic introduced by Professor Luca D’Acierno.
Further discussions will focus on an electric vehicle car-sharing system integrated into a Renewable Energy Community by PhD student Chiara Martone, and methodologies for selecting rail transport lines to convert to hydrogen, presented by Rosario Stefanelli, Research Fellow at the University of Naples "Federico II". Finally, Luca De Matteis, PhD student at the University of Naples "Federico II", will present advanced methodologies for improving the quality of railway transport services.
The event will conclude with a working meeting of the PRIN 2022 project participants. The workshop is free of charge and open to all, and we look forward to your participation.
