The course on Human Dignity opens on 28 September 2021, at 2.00 pm in the Aula Ciardiello in Via delle Puglie.

The teaching, provided under the master's degree course in law, is open to students of any training course of the university, including doctoral students, and will offer the inaugural lecture, conferences and collateral seminars to anyone who wants to participate, including among non-members.

Prof. Pierpaolo Forte conceived it with professors Antonella Tartaglia Polcini and Gaetano Pecora, with the involvement of many university professors and witnesses, experts, external scholars.

In addition to contemplating the historical evolutions of the concept of dignity, both in the most remote origins and, above all, in modernity, the course will focus on the cultural, political and legal centrality that dignity has assumed starting, in particular, from the second half of '900, also following the terrible, tragic experiences of totalitarian regimes.

The pervasive and complex presence of the concept of dignity in today's world has prompted the University of Sannio to contemplate a dedicated training course, believing that a young human being of the 21st century must have this awareness in their personal endowment.
