On Friday 14 May starting at 9 am, at the Ciardiello Hall in Via delle Puglie, the University of Sannio is organizing a study day* on "Ecological transition, decarbonisation and circular economy: the new challenges of energy engineering".

The event, which will be broadcast on UniSannio's YouTube channel, celebrates twenty years since the birth of the Energy Engineering course in Benevento, and will also be an opportunity for the establishment of the advisory board of the course of study. The body will serve to ensure the monitoring of the training offer, with a view to constant updating and comparison with the social partners at a territorial, national and international level. A way to keep the training course in step with the times and with the needs of the labor market. Representatives of Italian industrial and institutional realities, members of Confindustria, the Order of Engineers, representatives of local companies and a large representation of former UniSannio students who have assumed significant leadership positions in entities and companies operating in the sector will join the advisory board.

The day of May 14 is dedicated in particular to the evolution of technologies and cultural and economic models that allow energy systems and networks to find a new environmental and social balance consistent with the limit of resources and with the demands that the new generations express towards a new idea of ​​sustainable development. The hydrogen economy, energy communities, smart grids, sustainable construction, the circular economy are some of the relevant issues at the basis of the energy transition process that will be dealt with during the study day, which sees the participation of speakers coming from the main companies and research organizations operating in the energy and sustainable development sector.
