On 8 December at 12.30 at Palazzo Bosco Lucarelli, the University of Sannio organized a welcoming ceremony for students from Santo Domingo and Madagascar as part of a mobility project funded by the Erasmus + program. There are 9 students from the Universities of Antsirananna and Mahajanga of Madagascar and 7 students from five universities in Santo Domingo.

Some for a year, others for a semester will stay to study in Benevento following courses in economics, science, law and engineering at the Samnite university.

The welcome event will be attended by the ambassador of Santo Domingo in Rome Tony Raful Tejada together with the ministers councilors Gina D'Alessandro and Johanne Peña and the head of mission of the Embassy of Madagascar in Rome Helinoro Tianamahefa, together with the economic adviser Ed Ranaivo and business advisor Jean Jacques Ramaroson.

The rector of the University of Sannio Gerardo Canfora, the delegate for international relations of the Samnite university Biagio Simonetti and prof. Armando Lucio Simonelli who looks after relations with Dominican universities.
