Centralized University Library Branches

Via delle Puglie Branch – Temporary Closure

The Via delle Puglie 82 branch is currently closed to the public until further notice due to renovation work. As a result, library services have been centralized at the “De Simone” building, located in Piazza Arechi II.

Specifically, books located in the POZZO LIB section are not available for consultation or loan.

"Library Out of Itself" Infopoint

To meet users’ needs, an Infopoint called "Library Out of Itself" is open every Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the ground floor of the Via delle Puglie branch. Here, users can:

• Request information about library services;
• Use board games;
• Receive support with bibliographic research;
• Register for the library and obtain a user card;
• View and physically explore some of the library’s preserved treasures.

Piazza Arechi II Branch

At the Piazza Arechi II location, users will find all monographs belonging to the library’s various sections, including legal, economic, technical, scientific, and engineering texts, along with a large number of specialized journals across multiple disciplines.

Personal Collections and Donations

Over the years, various personal collections and donations from institutions have helped enrich the heritage and informational offerings of the Centralized University Library (BCA). In particular, the BCA owns and preserves around 1,000 antique books dating back to before 1830, many of which are inventoried and cataloged, forming a valuable collection of rare and prestigious works.

Research and Consultation Workstations

At the Piazza Arechi II branch, two PC workstations are available for consulting catalogs, using online discovery tools, and accessing the digital library.

Study Rooms

Several workstations are available at the Piazza Arechi II location for studying and consulting bibliographic material. Some seats are reserved for external users.

Please note: due to the building’s renovation works, the Study Room at the Via delle Puglie branch is closed.

Library Conduct Rules

To ensure a respectful environment and proper use of the space, please observe the following rules within the Library:

• Maintain complete silence. Library staff will conduct random checks to manage attendance. Anyone causing disruption may be asked to leave by order of the BCA Manager.

Not allowed:

• Smoking (including e-cigarettes), except in designated outdoor areas.
• Bringing in or consuming food and beverages.
• Bringing in animals, except guide dogs for the visually impaired.
• Using electronic devices (phones, tablets, computers) loudly or for non-academic purposes.
• Occupying multiple seats or leaving personal belongings on reading desks for extended periods.
• Rearranging furniture without authorization.
• Leaving trash on tables or elsewhere.
• Leaving books and personal items unattended. The BCA is not responsible for theft or loss.
• Improper use of emergency exits or blocking access.
• Tampering with software or hardware provided by the library.
