Sports and Health Sciences Entrance Test

THE TEST

The admission test is intended to assess the adequacy of the candidate’s initial preparation and to create a general merit ranking that allows admission of all candidates who took the test, up to the number of available spots.
The maximum number of available spots is 180.
To be eligible for the test, candidates must hold a secondary school diploma or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad and deemed suitable.

Dates

The first admission test for the academic year 2025/2026 was held on September 25, 2025.
The second admission test to fill any remaining spots was held on October 17, 2025.
At the moment, there are no open calls.

Test Structure

The admission test lasts 60 minutes and consists of a multiple-choice questionnaire (only one correct answer per question), composed of 40 questions, administered in person.
The 40 questions are distributed as follows:

• 20 Biology
• 5 Chemistry
• 5 Physics
• 5 Mathematics
• 2 Logic
• 3 General Knowledge

Scoring:

• +1 point for each correct answer
• -0.25 points for each incorrect answer
• 0 points for unanswered or null responses

Passing the Test

The admission test is intended to assess the adequacy of the candidate’s initial preparation and to create a general merit ranking that allows admission of all candidates who took the test, up to the number of available spots.

Candidates who are successfully placed in the merit ranking but score below 6 in the Biology section will be assigned an Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) to be fulfilled during the first academic year, and in any case before taking the Applied Biology exam.

Notification of the OFA will be communicated along with the test results.
The OFA can be fulfilled through remedial courses organized by the Department of Science and Technology, aimed at achieving the minimum entry-level knowledge, and will be assessed through multiple-choice tests or interviews.

The OFA must be fulfilled within the first year of the course. Students who do not fulfill the OFA by the end of the academic year will be required to re-enroll as repeating students in the first year.

Test Registration

The application for admission must be submitted exclusively online. Candidates must:

1. Register and access the Esse3 portal at the following link: https://unisannio.esse3.cineca.it/Home.do
2. Select “Segreteria” (Student Records Office), then “Iscrizioni ai corsi a numero chiuso” (Enrollment in limited-access courses), and follow the guided steps.
3. Proceed with the payment of a €20.00 fee, payable through PagoPA, generated by the system at the end of the online pre-enrollment procedure.
4. The payment receipt must be kept by the candidate and presented on the day of the exam during identity verification, upon request by the Exam Committee.
5. Ranking and Enrollment

The ranking list for the second call will be published on October 23, 2025, and enrollment will be open from 12:00 PM on October 24, 2025, until 12:00 PM on November 7, 2025.

Students who took the Sports and Health Sciences Entrance Test on September 25, 2025, and have not yet completed enrollment, are informed that the original deadline of October 15, 2025, has been extended to October 28, 2025.
