Merit-based reward contributions

For the 2026/2027 academic year, the University of Sannio has introduced a system of reward measures for students who intend to enroll or register in its Degree Programs and Master's Programs, with the aim of enhancing merit, supporting territorial mobility and encouraging the retention of young talents in the educational system.

The measures are divided into merit-based reward contributions upon matriculation or first enrollment, a reward measure on enrollment in Master's Programs for on-time graduates with high grades, and a percentage reward measure linked to credit progression.

All benefits are recognized subject to the issuance of specific calls for applications and subordinate to the completion of matriculation or enrollment within the deadlines set by the University.

Merit-based reward contributions

The reward contributions of € 200.00 or € 1,000.00 cannot be combined with each other: the higher contribution absorbs and replaces the lower one. They are granted to students with a UNIVERSITY ISEE indicator less than or equal to € 65,000.

Reward contributions are not granted to students simultaneously enrolled in two Degree Programs, even at different Universities, pursuant to current legislation on dual university enrollment. If simultaneous enrollment emerges after the concession of the benefit, the student forfeits the contribution and is required to return the sums received.

The same contributions are also granted to foreign students and students holding a qualification obtained abroad, provided all required conditions are met and the foreign qualification is deemed suitable for access to the chosen Degree Program. For diplomas obtained abroad, the final grade is converted into hundredths according to the MIUR guidelines of June 4, 2007.

Reward on enrollment in Master's Programs

Students who have obtained a Bachelor's Degree, a Single-Cycle Master's Degree or a Master's Degree at the University of Sannio within the normal duration of the program and with a grade higher than 105/110 are granted a 50% reward on the enrollment cost (net of the regional tax and stamp duty) for first and second level Master's Programs activated at the University. The reward is disbursed once the final Master's exam is passed.

Reward linked to credit progression

Regardless of the University ISEE value, a 20% reward on the annual all-inclusive contribution due (net of the regional tax and stamp duty) is granted to students who, upon renewing their enrollment, have achieved the CFU thresholds indicated below.

The indicated number of CFUs must have been achieved by August 10 of the reference academic year (August 10, 2026 for the 2026/2027 academic year).

Other initiatives to support students

In addition to merit-based reward measures, the University of Sannio provides further tools to support well-being and the right to education.

Youth Fund

Students also benefit from the resources of the Youth Fund, financed by the Ministry of University and Research within the Ordinary Financing Fund. The program supports interventions aimed at tutoring, international mobility and strengthening educational paths in the degree classes of the STEAM area (Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, Statistics).

STEAM Funding

Also within the resources of the Youth Fund, specific funding is earmarked for the Bachelor's Degree Program in Geological Sciences and the Master's Degree Program in Geotechnologies for Resources, Environment and Risks, which allows for the enhancement of teaching, laboratory, orientation and tutoring activities, valuing a strategic sector for territorial protection, environmental sustainability and natural risk prevention.

Psychological Voucher

The Student Psychological Voucher is an economic contribution disbursed to reimburse expenses incurred by UNISANNIO students who have used, or are benefiting from, a path of psychological and/or psychotherapeutic support with a qualified professional. This is a measure to support psychological well-being, paid as a one-off upon presentation of regular expense documentation.

Transport Voucher

The "Transport Bonus" Voucher is an economic contribution intended for off-site students, with the aim of facilitating their mobility. It is aimed at those residing in non-bordering Municipalities that are more than 30 km away from the University headquarters. The amount of the facilitation is calculated taking into account both income (ISEE) and merit (credits obtained) and is proportionate to the kilometric distance from the headquarters.

Contribution for housing rental expenses

The contribution for housing rental expenses is financial support, of ministerial origin, aimed at off-site students to cover rental expenses incurred for a residential property located in a Municipality other than the one of residence. The benefit is designed to lighten housing costs for those studying away from home.
