Maker Faire Rome 2026: Call for Universities and Research Institutes now open

Applications are open to submit innovative projects to the Call for Universities and Research Institutes 2026

The event, promoted by the Rome Chamber of Commerce, will take place from October 23 to 25, 2026, at the Gazometro Ostiense and will offer selected projects international visibility, as well as opportunities to engage with companies, investors, experts, and the general public.

Applications are open until 15 June 2026 and may concern areas such as aerospace, healthcare, robotics, artificial intelligence, IoT, digital manufacturing, agritech, education, Big Data and biohacking.

The possible forms of participation are:

• project exhibition, with the provision of a free bare exhibition area;
• workshop, consisting of an interactive and educational activity in the “Make Lab – Let’s Create Together” area, with possible reimbursement as provided for in the regulations;
• performance, in a public and/or virtual space, featuring creative, technological, robotic or musical performances;
• talk, with the possibility of using a physical or virtual slot for presentations on topics related to the themes proposed by the event and/or to share one’s experience.
