What you will learn
The programme develops skills to understand, design and manage physical and sport activities aimed at improving and maintaining wellbeing. It combines biological and biomechanical foundations of movement with sport techniques, assessment methods, and elements of pedagogy, law and management.
Year 1 focuses on the human body and sport organisation; Year 2 on teaching, physiology and sport technologies, with practical work and placements; Year 3 on functional and nutritional assessment, links between physical activity and health, and basic pharmacology.
How you will learn
Teaching includes lectures, seminars, workshops and practical sessions, with ongoing and final assessments. Students also build independent learning skills through study, research and interaction with professionals.
Entry requirements
A secondary school diploma (or equivalent) is required. Admission is based on a multiple-choice test in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, plus general knowledge and logic. Additional learning requirements (OFA) may apply, particularly in Biology.
Enrolment also requires a valid non-competitive sports medical certificate each year.
Career opportunities
Graduates can work as sport and exercise professionals or basic kinesiologists in public and private organisations.
Main roles include:
- health promotion and prevention activities;
- organisation of sport and physical activities for all age groups;
- fitness training and coaching;
- adapted physical activity;
- fitness and wellness instruction (personal/group training);
- sport communication;
- consultancy and management of sport organisations and facilities.

Public, private and third-sector organisations, including sport clubs, companies in the sport sector, fitness and wellness centres, media and sport promotion bodies.
Graduates may also progress to Master’s degrees in Sport and Exercise Sciences.
