FRANCESCO VASCA, since 2015 is Full Professor of Automatic Control at the Deprtment of Engineering of the University of Sannio. Since 1995 he developed his research and teaching activities at the Department of Engineering of the University of Sannio, where he taught courses of Automatic Control and Switched Systems. His research interests include the analysis and control of switched and networked dynamic systems with applications to switched electronic systems, automotive and railway vehicles, social networks. Since 2000 he has been tutor for 17 Ph.D. students and supervisor for 34 research engineers, involved with temporary contracts on research projects. He has been the local unit scientific responsible for 3 European projects, 5 national research projects under competitive competitions, and 5 regional research projects. He has been the scientific responsible for research collaborations with industrial and academic research centers. He collaborates with researchers of several international institutions and, in particular, with University of Groningen, Linkopings University and Stanford University. In 1997 he has been visiting scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston. He is author of more than 150 scientific papers published on books, international journals and conferences. At 2021 his publications have received more than 2800 citations, corresponding to an h-index equal to 25 (Scopus source). He served as reviewer for more than 15 international scientific journals, as a member of the programme committees for several international conferences, as Finance Chair for European Control Conference 2019, as Workshop Chair for ECC2021, and as a member of Ph.D theses committees at academic institutions in Sweden, France and Spain. He has been Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. Control Systems Technology (2008-2014) and for Automatica (since 2017). Since 2012 he is a Senior Member of IEEE.
