My research is focused on the study and development of reconfigurable metasurfaces and Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) for next-generation wireless communication systems. In particular, I investigate their electromagnetic modeling, synthesis, and application to wave manipulation and physical-layer security in 6G scenarios, with a focus on RISs integrated into unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other non-planar platforms. My research addresses different aspects of reconfigurable metasurfaces, including beam steering and shaping, space-time coding, physical-layer authentication, and the development of electromagnetic models for curved and three-dimensional architectures, validated through full-wave electromagnetic simulations.
