My current PhD research at the University of Sannio, Italy, focuses on the development of MXene-integrated optical fiber platforms for advanced biomedical applications. The project involves integrating two-dimensional (2D) MXene nanomaterials onto gold-coated optical fibers to investigate their optical, plasmonic, and photothermal properties.
The research aims to explore the potential of these multifunctional platforms for biosensing, bioimaging, neuronal stimulation, and targeted photothermal therapy, particularly in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
The overall objective is to advance innovative optical fiber-based technologies for biomedical diagnostics, imaging, and therapeutic applications.
