My research focuses on the development of control, monitoring and protection architectures for the Heating and Current Drive (HCD) systems of the Divertor Tokamak Test Facility (DTT), with particular emphasis on Electron Cyclotron Heating (ECH) and Ion Cyclotron Heating (ICH) systems.
The research activity involves the design and validation of real-time control models and systems, as well as their integration into the DTT central Control and Data Acquisition System (CODAS) architecture. Particular attention is given to the integration of supervisory systems, industrial communication protocols and real-time frameworks, with the aim of ensuring reliable monitoring of plant variables, management of operational states and alarms and implementation of the required protection functions.
This research contributes to the broader development of control and supervision infrastructures for the operation of heating and current drive systems in nuclear fusion research facilities.
