Head of the Engineering Department since November 2019.

Full Professor of Structural Engineering at University of Sannio (Benevento, Italy) since November 2000. Degree in Civil Engineering in march 1987 and PhD in Structural Engineering in 1993 at University of Naples “FedericoII”. Chief of the Material and Structure Laboratory at University of Sannio (Benevento, Italy). Author of more than 200 papers about theoretical-experimental research in the fields of : non-linear and cyclic behaviour of reinforced concrete elements, steel-concrete composite structures, steel-concrete bond, high performance concrete, composite materials (FRP bars and sheets, pultruded profiles) for new structures and retrofitting, seismic engineering. Teaches structural engineering in the courses of Bachelor and Master in Civil Engineering and Bachelor in Energetic at the University of Sannio. Member of Task Group fib TG 4.1 “Serviceability Models” and Task Group fib TG 9.3 “FRP materials for reinforced concrete structures”, President of Task Group fib TG 2.6 “Steel-concrete composite constructions”. Member of working groups for the revision of the Italian and European codes. Teacher of many many seminars for researchers and design. Partner of the spin off ITEMS srl of the university of Sannio.

Scientific responsible of research project in the fields of Steel Concrete Composite Constructions, Bridge monitoring, Strengthening of Existing Structures, Seismic Vulnerability of Buildings.
